About the product

A considered formulation

"The night is when the skin gets back to work. Give it what it needs."

Ceramides are a family of lipids naturally present in the skin's outer layer. They are part of the structural matrix that holds water in and irritants out — what dermatology calls the skin barrier. Sensitive, reactive and ageing skin often has reduced ceramide presence, and topical ceramide-containing products are widely studied as part of barrier-supportive routines.

This cream has been written for the evening. The texture is richer than our daytime gel — designed to sit comfortably on the skin overnight without feeling heavy. It is fragrance-controlled, designed for skin that needs a steady, considered routine.

Use it last in the evening, after cleansing, toner and serum. It is the final layer before sleep.

How it’s formulated

Three things worth knowing

Ceramides

Lipid molecules naturally present in the skin's outer barrier. Widely studied in modern dermatological research.

Night texture

Richer than a daytime gel, designed to layer comfortably under nothing — sleep on it.

For barrier-supportive routines

Pairs with hydrating toners and serums to form a layered evening practice.

How to use

A simple ritual

In the evening

After cleansing, toner and serum.

A peanut-sized amount

Slightly more than a pea — but not a teaspoon.

Warm and press

Warm between fingertips. Press into face, neck and décolletage.

Allow to settle

Wait a minute or so before lying down on a pillow if possible.

Frequently asked

A few questions

What are ceramides?
Ceramides are a class of lipid molecules that naturally occur in the outermost layer of the skin and form part of the structural matrix that holds it together. They are well-studied in modern dermatology as part of barrier-supportive skincare.
Can I use this in the morning?
You can, but the texture is richer than most daytime needs. We made the Niacinamide Gel Moisturiser for the day and this one for the night.
Will it work with retinol?
It is often used as a buffer cream over retinol applications by people sensitive to retinoids — but we do not include retinol in this edit, and our guidance is to follow a dermatologist's instructions for any retinol use.
Is it greasy?
No. Richer than the gel moisturiser, but designed to absorb. If it feels heavy, you have used too much — try a smaller amount.
What about pillows?
Let it settle for a minute. The cream is absorbed enough by then that pillow transfer is minimal.
